Draw a chimney on top of the house, erasing as necessary. Draw another straight line parallel to the bottom of the triangle. Then, draw three straight, vertical lines down from the three corners of the roof. Give the roof a three-dimensional aspect by drawing lines parallel to two sides. Then, draw a straight horizontal line to complete the triangle. To draw the door, start with a rectangle that’s centered in the middle part of your house.

Every previous cease-fire “has been used by Hamas to rearm, to rebuild and then launch another surprise attack. The latest NBC News poll, for example, asked voters two horse-race questions. First, it asked about a Biden-Trump matchup and found Trump ahead 46%-44% — a result well within the survey’s margin of error.

With each line, your house will start to feel like a home. So let’s keep our lines light and our imaginations open as our picture comes together. To do this, place a 2D view and a 3D representation of the floor plan next to each other on the screen. The 3D mode allows you to view the rooms from a natural perspective. When drawing the outer walls, also consider their thickness. This is because external walls are usually much thicker than internal walls, as they fulfil load-bearing functions. Now that you have your sides drawn in you can add the side parts of the roof. To do this, start near the top of the inner roof, but leave the point of the triangle sticking out higher. Then take your line out until it’s parallel to the outer edge of the side part’s rectangle. Once you master this basic house drawing technique you’ll be able to get creative and try different styles and buildings.

Set up reminiscent of a diner, this establishment remains an icon in the country for its famous waffles and popular carb-loaded entrees for all-day breakfast. When the restaurant is operating under a Code Yellow on what's called the Waffle House Index, it doesn't have all of its regular menu items available. The waffle makers, fountain drinks, and coffee pots won't work without electricity, and all these items require water. However, it's still possible for the cooks to make a large portion of menu items on the gas grill when the power and water are off, and the restaurant can still serve bottled drinks.

Because Waffle House is named after its most popular food, you will not be surprised that the majority of menu items contain a high number of carbs, calories, and sugar. Anyone watching their carb intake, staying away from gluten, or avoiding added sugar will struggle to find menu items to eat. A small slice of Southern pecan pie contains 260 calories, 13 g fat, 7 g saturated fat, 32 g carbs, 23 g sugar, 2 g protein, and 140 mg sodium. Anyone with food allergens should skip this pie, as it contains soy, wheat, egg, milk, and tree nuts. To better control the contents of your hashbrown bowl, consider customizing it using the build-your-own hashbrown bowl option. Waffle House also offers customers the opportunity to make reservations for certain occasions such as Valentine’s Day with candles lights and birthday deals. With the amount of egg and dairy on the menu, you will find following a vegan diet almost impossible at the Waffle House (with the exception of the two salad options). In 2023, "Saturday Night Live" aka "SNL" created a parody skit of the rowdiest of late-night scenarios. Guest star Jenna Ortega (from Netflix's "Wednesday") and the show's Marcello Hernández talk in front of a Waffle House one night. But you will find other entrees and sides on the menu, ranging from beloved breakfast choices to hamburgers to garden salads. In addition to food celebrities, famous rappers have also frequently shouted out their love for Waffle House. All three members of Migos had their own favorites, with Quavo repping the All-Star Meal, Offset favoring the Texas Melt, and Takeoff opting for waffles with a pork chop on the side. Perhaps the strangest answer came from Lil Yachty, who said he liked to make a bacon, butter, and jelly sandwich on Texas toast. The mark system uses objects like condiment packets, pickles, slices of bread, and utensils to tell the grill cooks what they need to cook next, with no talking or reading necessary. For example, a mustard packet face-up on a plate signals a pork chop, a butter packet means a waffle, and a packet of grape jelly means white toast.

Waffle House also offers an "all-the-way" option for its famous hashbrowns, which features all the toppings piled on top of the fried potatoes. However, when Waffle House analyzed its profits, it turned out that selling Chick-fil-A sandwiches was causing the chain to lose money. When Waffle House realized it was selling more Chick-fil-A sandwiches than other menu items, it decided it would be better off making its own chicken sandwiches rather than outsourcing.

Of the 1,972 Waffle House locations as of February 2023, 436 of them (about 22%) are in Georgia.

As we said earlier, it's not unusual to expect a little late-night disorderliness at Waffle House. When everything else is closed for the night and Waffle House is the only place to hang out, crazy things can happen. However, in September 2021, utter mayhem broke out at an Austin, Texas, Waffle House. A fight that started among apparently drunk, impatient customers in a corner of the restaurant escalated when an employee threw a sugar shaker over the counter into the fray. You often have to work nights, weekends, and holidays, the restaurant is frequently very busy, and the customers can sometimes get a little out of hand.
By putting the name of their biggest profit-maker in the restaurant's name, the founders ensured everyone would think the chain was known for its waffles and be sure to order some. That commitment to staying open all the time even applies in areas that are suffering from natural disasters. I added a touch of hot sauce, but the protein tasted even better when I piled it on top of my white bread toast — which was also impressively flavorful and not too dry — with some buttered and seasoned grits. While I don't usually order scrambled eggs because it's likely they'll come out dry and bland, I asked the team member working behind the counter, Keara, for her advice. Listen, there are a handful of restaurants from my childhood I would say I absolutely love, but that love comes more from a place of emotional attachment rather than my opinion on the food itself. So I went into my first Waffle House experience thinking that was the case with all of its fanfare. It wasn't long after Waffle House dropped the sandwiches from Dwarf Grill (now The Dwarf House) that the owner decided to create the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain with the popular sandwich at its core. One thing that not too many people remember about Chick-fil-A is that the chain got its start serving sandwiches somewhere other than a dedicated Chick-fil-A restaurant. Initially, over 50 different restaurants used Dwarf Grill in Hapeville, Georgia, (where the Chick-fil-A sandwich was invented) to supply their chicken sandwiches.
The northern most states with a Waffle House are Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and you'll find none on the West Coast. With 37 Waffle Houses in the city itself and a whopping 162 Waffle Houses in the broader Atlanta metro area, you don't have to go very far to find a Waffle House open any time of the day or night. As a large and popular institution, Waffle House has created its own special culture. Follow along on Instagram for specials, and be sure to try the mortadella foccaccia sandwich, one of the best sandwiches in the city. Who would ever guess that the city’s best pinsas would come from this unassuming wine bar in the Arts District? While the neighborhood is a citywide dining destination, few Angelenos seem to know about these phenomenal Roman-style flatbreads, which use a 72-hour fermented dough as the base for a lightweight, crispy crust that’ll have you munching to the very last bite. From Beverly Grove’s Oste to Glendale’s La Bella Pinseria Romana, I’ve sampled every major pinsa specialist in Los Angeles, and none can top Propaganda. The popular pick is the spicy calabrese tartufato, which sweetens the deal with black truffle honey, but you can’t go wrong with the trendy mortazza (mortadella with toasted pistachios) or a classic margherita.
If you’re the type of person who turns up your nose at soft-centered Neapolitan pies, this New Haven-style pizza pop-up on the patio of Glendale’s Glen Arden Club just might make your ideal pizza. Crunchy, light and extremely crushable, the whole pies at Ozzy’s Apizza (pronounced “abeetz”) are a breath of fresh air in a new-school pizza scene dominated by Detroit-style squares and various styles of wood-fired thin crust pizzas. The classic tomato pie (the Liotta) sprinkled with parmesan cheese is a must-order for first-timers, but meatier, cheesier creations by Connecticut natives Chris Wallace and Craig Taylor are just as delicious for those seeking more oomph to their pizza. As of late, the duo have finally added New Haven’s iconic clam pizza (cheekily titled “You’re Welcome”) to their menu—a white pie dotted with littleneck clams, pecorino, oregano and olive oil.
More than just trying to reshape the global map, Catherine also wants her pioneering persona recorded in history, in hopes of shattering expectations for future generations of women. She will also star in the upcoming horror film “The Piper,” which is described as a “darker reimagining” of the classic Pied Piper tale. However, Hope believes that getting this role is instead a result of her hard work. After sending in six unprompted and different audition tapes to play Catherine, she got the call that her dream was now a reality.

In a lot of American procedural dramas, the score is in every scene and I wanted to have music only when I needed to say or evoke something,” added Lockey, who highlighted the series’ “incredible” production value. Through the fast-moving eight-episode season, we see Catherine embody the responsibilities of the title she's bestowed, displaying killer instinct as a politician, diplomat and solider on the battlefield.

Jon Avnet is directing from a script he wrote with Eric Nazarian, adapted from biographical novel by Milton Rokeach. The story follows a doctor (played by Gere) who is treating three paranoid schizophrenic patients at the Ypsilanti State Hospital in Michigan, each of whom believe they are Jesus Christ. While it is a well-worn tale, the show manages to put its own mark on history by contextualising how out of step Catherine is as both wife and leader. As a partner to Henry VIII, she is devoted and keenly aware of his frailties.

Review of Draught House Pub and Brewery by TexasRealFood
He’s drunk beers in 10 countries and on 4 continents and has been drinking fine beers in Austin longer than most of local craft breweries have existed. When not writing, he often spends his weekends brewing beer in his backyard with his darling wife, his two year old son, a fat cat, and six chickens. And truly a hobbit would be at home in the Draught house.
Something about the place just screams Middle Earth to me (well, maybe not screams, more like hums in surprisingly beautiful melodies). I don’t know if it’s the wood, the strangely tall and small space where drinkers line up for more beer, or the men I saw hugging, but something about it just feels from another time. It’s a wonderful change compared to so many of the more modern breweries, which put concrete and steel front and center.
